This policy explains what information the AI Tarot app ("the app", "we") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Contact us at koibitomanagement@gmail.com with any question.
Information we collect
- Account information: a sign-in identifier from Google Sign-In or email sign-in (handled by Google Firebase Authentication), and the display name you choose. If you sign in with email, your email address is stored by Firebase Authentication.
- Optional profile details: an age range, only if you choose to provide one.
- Timezone: used to decide when your daily free reading resets.
- Your readings: the card drawn, your question or chosen topic, the reading generated for you, and any deeper interpretations you request.
- Purchases: records of reading packs you buy through Google Play (product, status and a Google Play transaction reference). We never receive your card or payment details; Google Play handles payment.
- Technical logs: basic server logs (such as request times and errors) used to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
- To provide your readings, keep your reading history, and enforce the one-free-reading-per-day limit.
- To verify purchases with Google Play and give you the readings you bought.
- To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
AI processing
To write your reading, the card you drew, your question or topic, and (if you leave the "Personalize with past readings" setting on) the names of a few cards you drew recently are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes them to generate the text. Please avoid including sensitive personal information, such as health details or full names of other people, in your questions.
Service providers
- Google Firebase Authentication — sign-in.
- Google Play — payments and purchase verification.
- Anthropic — generating reading text.
- Hostinger — server hosting for our API and database.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to our servers and database is restricted.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and readings until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and all your readings. We keep minimal purchase transaction records, no longer linked to you, where needed to prevent fraud and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Age
The app is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
